Artist's Statement

Like most people I run my life by planning ahead then following through in a disciplined manner making sure not to break any of society's rules. But when creating art I am the exact opposite of this, planning as little as possible and feeling free to change any plans or rules along the way. This is the only way my creativity flows freely.

• Each creation is an expression of my love of life and nature
• I think of each as an experiment
• All rules may be broken (or followed)
• I like to observe from "outside the box"
• Advice does not generally help my creative process
• "Mistakes" are seen as satisfying challenges
• No two works are alike
• If the work looks like a photo it is a failure
